I HATE SWIMMINGGGG

Okay. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY SWIMMING EVENTS IN THE OLYMPICS!?!!?!??! The US would suck at the Olympics and be in 39287th place if swimming didn't exist. On the medal count page, they even divided the swimming category in TWO so it wouldn't look like they won 28 OUT OF THE TOTAL 54 MEDALS in swimming. Hello people, that's more than half!

I even went as far to see China, Germany, and Russia's medal counts and they had won medals in many, many sports...and they did NOT have 28 in a single sport.

Well...China has 9 in weightlifting and 5 in swimming (out of 46 total medals).
Korea's probably gonna get a ton of medals in tae kwon do and judo..and shooting, but at least it's not one sport that's going to constitute 52% of their medals.

kid in a candy store

Today we went to Staples to buy a new USB thingy for my printer (it originally broke in...April? May? But my parents had not yet realized its importance until the need of some photographic evidence for Clarie's "weekend news" or "vacation news" for that matter). I. LOVE. STAPLES. I barely know anything about technology, but at least more than the average person. Anyways, it was fun. We spent an hour there. I also bought some 2B lead. I think B led has been so unused that its extinction has occurred and it has led to a VERY unhappy Kristen.

It's SUMMERTIME...if you haven't noticed by now

So. There's really nothing to do around here. So far I've managed to sit around being lazy every day and I've revived my love for Y!PP (which I made over 7k poe in a few hours thanks to an IC blockade!!). So what DO people do in the summer? There's, like, nothing in Concord (and even less in Carlisle) and my parents refuse to drive me ANYWHERE. Oh, and my parents are planning yet another trip to Italy and France. They want to go to the EXACT same places and rent a car. Only difference? It's in the WINTER! OOOHHHHHHH. Eh like that'll make a difference. I jokingly suggested going skiing in Torino. And my dad thinks I'm effing serious. Wow.

On the bright side. There is no bright side.

I need to plan that shopping trip soon...I'm in dire need of a blazer, another floral dress (with a larger print, I'm hoping), possibly something emo-ish and lacy, and some..pants...I kinda dunno how to describe them since EVERYONE in the blogosphere has been calling them tons of different things.

AND (ugh I just forgot)..

think
think
think

Well while I'm thinking..MY BIRTHDAY IS IN 3 DAYS!

I still can't remember it. Oh well.

ballerina gangs!

This is me after ballet. I'm SO attractive, aren't I? I slid across the floor after I got into the nice, cool, air-conditioned house. And we're redoing the floors, hence the random floorboard things.

excuse me, can I be you for a while?

Ughhh. I really hate the very end of the year when there's still school left, but there's so little of it left that you just have absolutely no motivation whatsoever to do anything. But the thing is, there's nothing to do. So I'm just having a splendid time spazzing about anything and everything when really there's NOTHING to do. I used to like having time when there was no homework...but now that I have TOO much time, I feel like I should be doing something. And I get incredibly grumpy if I don't do anything. And this post does not really count as anything so I'll still be bored and grumpy and blahhhhh (or "bluchhh").

And surprisingly enough, I don't think I'm as excited as I was before to go to Europe for two weeks. Two weeks. Why did I just repeat that? Yeah I'm pretty much going crazy. Blame it on the heat or the fish..whichever you want. Personally I blame it on my family..which neeeever stops talking. Headache? Ouiii. Maybe I'll go write in my Moleskine for a bit. I'll still feel bored and unproductive, but at least that doesn't require me being on my laptop in the only unairconditioned room in the house (next to the basement and attic).

This post was pretty much a waste of time that I have too much of. Get it? Non? Too bad. I don't care. My moleskine is waiting, so yeah!

ode to my clothes

Except not really. Because this won't be an ode.

I got my shooooesies for prom! They're really cool and probably don't match my dress at ALL, but STILL. They're "ombre"-ish and silvery-grey and I'll probably wear them every day after prom. Because they're that cool.

How to you write an ode anyways?

I guess I'll wiki it and see...after I'm done learning about the ever-so-awesome KELP FOREST.

THREE DAYS TILL PROM!

candy lies

So. We were driving back from the mall and a car cut my mommie off and honked a lot. And then it drove through a red light. And surprisingly enough, there was a police car in the lane right next to us without it's lights on. It was pretty cool though, seeing it come out of NOWHERE. But my mom was so happy. She was like "HAH! If that person stayed behind me, he/she wouldn't have to pay a $100-ish fine!!!"

So. I guess those random police (look Ms M..I'm not using vague pronouns!) aren't that useless after all. I kinda had this total "HAH!" moment with my mommie because it's just indescribably gives you this indescribably happy feeling (seee...avoided vague pronoun there, too!) even if you really have no real reason to be happy.

And so. I've always wondered why in Tori's song Dragon she sings "candy lies" instead of "candied lies" which seems clearer. Is 'lies' supposed to be a noun or a verb? I'm assuming a noun...but still. It could go either way. I love analyzing her songs. Maybe I'll do it every week or so for fun. In fact, my next post will be about Dragon because I feel like it. I feel bad..I'm procrastinating on my mommie's Mother's Day gift. And did you know M's Day was originally an anti-war holiday? Oh well. I guess random facts do pay off 'cause it makes my life more interesting. Only not.
